What is Spondooli?
Spondooli is a stock market simulator game developed by Spondooli LLC to help spread financial knowledge to a new generation of students.
How does Spondooli Teach?
As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis succinctly stated, “financial literacy is an important life skill for a student to have”.
At Spondooli LLC, we take the importance and responsibility of teaching financial literacy very important. Of the required points in the newly introduced “Dorothy L. Hukill Financial Literacy Act”, Spondooli covers banking, loans, investment, principles of money management, credit scores, savings and investments, and more.
Spondooli offers an unmatched, immersive, and guided teaching system. Spondooli's teaching system is vetted by business professors and investors to include everything a new user might need in their stock market journey. This includes everything from an extensive glossary to an informative guide and tutorial. All of this is complemented by the banking and loan system, which provides users with an in-depth, realistic bank system that adds both challenge and insight to their learning experience. Spondooli also calculates a credit score based on user performance, encouraging smart investment and loan practice, teaching one of the most unarguably important aspects of personal finance.
Why chose spondooli?
Spondooli aims to fill the void within financial education that is currently leaving 2/3rds of Americans as what the FINRA would consider "financially illiterate". In the past, there have been many attempts to solve this issue, namely expensive, out-of-reach classes and financial advisors, overpriced books, or simply taking the risk and putting real money on the line and figuring it all out by oneself. However, these traditional solutions have barely made a dent in the issues of inaccessibility and financial illiteracy. The so-called modern solution to this is stock market simulators, these intended to combine the freedom of an unlimited bank account with the challenge of the stock market. But even this attempt fell flat on its face, as all other stock market simulators out there are clunky, unresponsive, outdated, expensive, and don't help teach the user, forcing them into the deep end all by themselves. In contrast, Spondooli provides a robust, modern, and accessible stock market simulation, guiding its users from the beginning of their financial journey all the way to their ultimate market mastery.
Who is using Spondooli now?
Spondooli LLC's products are made for and are currently being used by educational institutions, such as Gulliver Preparatory, as a way to further their business curricula. While available to all users for free, the potential of our products lies mainly within classroom walls. In the school's we have worked with so far, students go to school excited to boot up Spondooli and leave class more knowledgeable than they walked in.
While our target market is students learning financial topics, Spondooli has proven itself applicable to many other demographics. The experienced investor would appreciate Spondooli for its real time, accurate data, while the curious novice would take a liking to the free and open learning environment. As the years go on, Spondooli aims to widen its market scope, namely through more traditional games based on the existing Spondooli concept.
Who is Team Spondooli?
The team is led by a group of now college students from a variety of backgrounds. The team realized after taking Florida business classes in high school that the existing stock market and finance learning technologies had great potential, but fell very short due to them being outdated and incredibly limited. The team started with a couple members, but today is made great by 10 passionate developers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Our website proudly displays all team members, including the four founding members which can be seen at the top.
